Fantastic!
Really, it is. First heard Shea Seger singing an acoustic set five or six years ago, and was blown away by her voice. This album more than does her justice. It's raw, passionate and immediate. Stand-out tracks: Pipers Dream, Dew Drops, Songs to Forget.
This is just a first impression, mind. I only bought this today (21.7) - I've already played it twice, and it's clearly going to be on the iPod for quite a while.

Worth the wait.
If you've waited 10 years for Sheas second album, then it's certainly been worth it! This self-titled album is a very different sounding beast compared to the May Street Project (which I still listen to 10 years on). Whereas the MSP had R&B and Hip Hop elements within certain songs, this album is a more down-to-earth, bluesy rock kind of affair throughout. One main selling point for me while listening to the previews of the songs were Shea's vocals; they seem to have a rawness and energy to them, which makes this album addictive to listen to. Nearly every song on the album I really like, which is something I can't say for every LP I purchase.
