Half decent....

Just good old fashioned rock the way the British do it best. Nothing flashy, nothing too taxing. If you want to be challenged by an album don't buy this! It's Friday night stuff, grab a beer and enjoy life a little. Go see them live, they are superb. The Darkness? Who?

Best album I've heard for years.

First of all, I'd just like to say that, despite being their flagship song, Burn The Witch is actually at the bottom of the Stone Gods pile in my opinion. If you've only heard this one song and don't like it so have decided not to buy this album, you're definitely missing out. I don't particularly like Burn The Witch either. It's the only track on the whole album that I would skip. Onwards with the album as a whole; it is quite simply fantastic. The riffs are catchy, the lyrics are humourous and it's just good, old rock played the way it should be. Whilst the slower Magdalene Street and Lazy Bones prove the band have range, it's the stomping choruses of songs like I'm With The Band, Making It Hard and You Brought a Knife To a Gunfight that make this album. I was shocked to find out that NME have such poor taste in music as to give this album 0/10 but the majority of reviews have been favourable, as they should be! You'll be listening to this album for months to come, it's well worth the money. Apparently they're very good live too and I can't wait for the upcoming single release which includes 2 live songs. Maybe I'll get to see them live sometime in the future. :) As a final note, the non-album songs Breakdown, Pretty Ugly, Heartburn and Goodbye are fantastic! Any of them are better than Burn The Witch by far, in my opinion. Definitely get them as well. Breakdown, especially, is sublime.

The Wait is over

Best Album of the year so far the album is catchy. It got 8/10 by classic rock magazine and they said it the best british album of the decade so far. Can't wait for album number two.
