Best Single this year from the Irish music scene

     

This guy has been around the Irish music scene for a good few years and has paid his dues by now I'm sure. He just gets better and better. I remember seeing them in the early days in a band called Leya in Belfast. This is probably 'that' song which will draw well deserved attention on his music. Even Gary Lightbody from Snow Patrol has tipped his hat to Joe Echo! I think he sings on one of their albums. This is an out an out stadium anthem. Indie through and through but never too far from a pop tune without crossing the line. A formula that has worked very well for U2, Snow Patrol and many others in the music scene on the Island. I would not be surprised at all to even hear comparisons to both aforementioned bands. I dare you to listen to this track twice and not be singing along with the chorus by the end, it's that good. Best single I've heard this year on the Irish music scene. Much more like this please, the heavier sound really works.
