Fusion at its best

Thanks for whoever had the idea of eventually re-releasing this epic album. It's been sitting on the shelves for far too long. A brilliant example of fusion, bringing together the writing talents of Karl Jenkins and the musical virtuosity of the rest of the band, and introducing me the talents of newcomer (at the time),John Etheridge. The only down side (and why only four stars) is the back seat played by Mike Ratledge. At his peak Mr Ratledge was an innovative and exciting player and his touch is missed on some of the tracks. Not as good as Bundles (when will i-tunes get that one?)but still well worth buying. I had this album on vinyl and virtually wore it out. It's so good to hear it again, still sounding good, fresh and with some ideas well ahead of its time.
