3rd album worth the four year wait!

This may have been a long time coming, but it has definitely been worth the wait. It confirms that -if proof were needed anymore- that Riley Briggs is one of the best songwriters of his generation. There are many highlights here, but they probably are 'Malcolm' 'Lisa Marie' and 'In Denial.' I've heard several of these at their gigs over the last three or four years, and it's great to have them back! Note: the album versions of 'Claire' and 'Talk me Round' are diffreent from the single versions.

Another gem

More of the same? yes and no, it has that lightness of touch, and the songs are beautifully realised, as you would expect. Malcolm, "Lola" for a different decade, has moved on from the live performance, with the addition of Kirsten Adamson on backing vocals, lifting the song into genius category. Loved this album, it should be compulsory.
