Energy and Passion

This album is a lethal combination of excitement, respect, energy and passion from a simply great artist. "Knock On Wood" took me back to the Fairfield Halls in Croydon when I watched Sam and Dave in the their orange suits. They gave me chills then and that wonderful feeling was renewed tonight. Seal shouldn't worry about his achievement in bringing these soul classics to a wonderful new high that Otis Reading and Ben E King themselves would adore. The arrangements are sublime. I'm in wonderland about this. Ofcourse, in the current climate, "A Change Is Gonna Come" will attract attention. Sam Cooke himself would shed a tear, if he could look down now, how proud would he be? Did anyone notice that Obama use some of these lyrics in his victory speech? Thank you Seal. Six Stars.

Great just got brilliant

Seal has taken some great soul standards and put his own stamp on them. A truely brilliant album, a truely brilliant singer. More please Seal.
