Interesting choices, strange exclusions

A 'greatest hits' compilation with no 'Winter In America', 'B-Movie', 'Johannesburg', or 'Angel Dust'?? - strange. However, as I've got all those tracks anyway, and some of these are completely new to me, not a bad thing.

Think of this complilation as the 'Best of Gil that you haven't heard yet' and you won't be disappointed. I've yet to hear a bad tune from Gil, and if you want to know where NWA, Public Enemy and pretty much the whole rap scene came from, Gil's yer man.

He's best described as a political, black, jazzy version of Leonard Cohen. Enjoy.
