Beautiful
I first heard of Glass Pear when My Ghost was used at the end of an episode of Bones. Us Bones fans do like our music and the name of Glass Pear spread swiftly across the Atlantic. Glass Pear are a great band who are in music for the right reasons. They often offer their music as free downloads and speak to their fans to ask for feedback, suggestions about album art and just to be generally friendly. When I bought the second album (Sweet America) direct from their website there was a problem with the download link. I emailed and within a couple of hours I had a personalised reply and it was sorted. Oh, and did I say their music is amazing??
You will not be disappointed. And when you have downloaded this album get their second as well. I actually think it's even better!
Finally
I heard Last Day of Your Life on 90210 and fell in love with Glass Pear ... amazing, catchy songs, excellent guitar parts and fantastic voice. I think this is going to be on repeat on my ipod!!
Stunning debut!
Streets of Love is as good a debut as I've heard in a very long time.
Bought impulsively on the strength of the song 'Last day of your life', the record never lets up.
'Vultures' is a soaring anthem as good as anything by Coldplay, Keane and the rest.
The guitars and keyboards coat every tune with superb melodies and the vocalist brings depth and feeling to each song.
'My Ghost' the haunting ballad that brings the record to a close is a heartfelt song that really makes the hairs stand up on the back of the neck.
Hope to hear a lot more of Glass Pear..!
