Terrible Sleeve! Good music

Morrissey has recently been saying that 'Swords' was a disaster in that it has been his worst chart placing to date. A shame as it has a lot of really good songs on it. The main problem with it, and if you ever read this Morrissey, make a note as this will help in the future. The sleeve design is bleedin' awful! It looks as though it was knocked out in a few seconds, 'that'll do' type of thing...Once you took real care over the way the discs were sleeved. It's no good re-releasing it in 10 years time with new artwork...this will forever stick in peoples minds. Terrible! In a time when people are short of cash, if you expect them to buy songs they already own (on the singles) then at least give them / tempt them with a decent sleeve. This is the first Morrissey release since the day Hand in Glove came out that I have not bothered to buy. And it's all down to the fact it looks shoddy. There are good songs here. My Dearest Love, Ganglord, Good Looking Man...etc most are better than the A sides. Come on Morrissey, you can give us a better deal than this.

These fans turned The Smiths into stars in Britain, exerting tremendous pull over much of the country's guitar-based music for many years after their breakup, and even if the group remained...
