Saw them on Jools Holland and fell in love all over again with Raissa!
I was a massive Raissa fan years ago - her songs like 'You Summertime' and 'How Long Do I Get' were always on my stereo in the late 90s and early 00s. Then last night I turn on the TV and what do I see? Raissa singing with her new band The Mummers on Later with Jools Holland! She is a brilliant singer, a brilliant songwriter and this album is testament to the fact that real talent always wins through. Raissa, it's great to have you back. Now all you have to do is get your solo back catalogue onto iTunes as shockingly none of it is available!

So far my album of the year,so clever, nostalgic, romantic otherworldly,intellegent- the arrangements are really clever embracing and accented by so many different eras and influences all seamlessly combined to create something truely origional -its just so great to here something different and origional-love,love,love.
Bjork meets Goldfrapp meets Julie Andrews meets Karen Carpenter....stunning...
Now and then you get blown away. This happens on rare occasions these days with the so so same sounding music to choose from. I have the same buzz from this has I got from Goldfrapps Felt Mountain. Magical vocals that evoke both the musical world of Theatre and Bjork...I am so in love with this and thanks to uncle Jools for the heads up. BUY BUY BUY IT!!!!!! xx
