A Maelstrom of a single....
Starting with a just like honey bassline and drum combo before Danielle wails "I cried in the rain, nobody noticed' .. the world should take notice now as it steps up dripping into majestic waves of oppulent hight end guitar staircase licks. Speeding faster than a bullet, "I dont know where I'm going" comes the shrieks. We do, as a crescendo of noise smoothly completes the task and leaves you reaching for the repeat button.
One of the great misses of 2009, but the new stuff is equally wonderful. Look over your shoulder, The Palpitations are coming
Cool. Very cool.
Evocative and haunting in equal measure, the Palpitations' first offering is as good as it is subtle. Having had the privilege of seeing this group live, I can tell you that they sound as good, nay, better, in person. There is the same eerie, but distinctly catchy sound that can only be made by such a talented and musical group. These songs will haunt my dreams I've no doubt, but the overwhelming feeling that carries through is one of it being...just...cool! Very, very cool.
