Grunty Madness
Reso delivers once again with a beautifully crafted collection of electronic squawkings and screams. Whether it's the room-shaking jackhammer bass of 'Armored Core' or the floaty bits of 'Hemisphere,' this is dubstep taken to the next level. Pure invention, a must-own EP!
Heavy duty!
Reso, like many current producers, aims to stick two fingers up at the purists out there who only listen to dubstep. Whilst you could see this EP as a predominantly dubstep product, Reso mixes up a whole cocktail of flavours from drum n bass & breaks to hip-hop & wonky. His intricate beat programming punches frantically through the distorted synths, speaker-rumbling bass & crazy FX. This is electronic music production at its best.
Brilliant Stuff
To all of those who thought dubstep was a one trick pony, and soley the music of people who habitually take class A cocktails; I think this album should convince you otherwise. A huge range of moods and sounds explored, from the ambient power of "Hemisphere", to the funky vibes of "Channel Pressure" to the drity stompingness of "Otacon". One of the first "dubstep" albums that i could happily listen to alongside all my other music. Thanks Reso!
