Saw them on Jonathan Ross' show...

... and the song really caught my attention. Looked it up on iTunes a few days later and bought it. It's even better than I recall!

utter rubbish!!

Sorry but this is rubbish! Its been played to death on the radio and hyped up so much, but why? Please go away.

Love it or hate it...

I've always found The Ting Tings to be one of those 'Marmite' bands, very few people I've spoken to sit on the fence with them. Some rave about them being the oft-cliched "next big thing", whereas some regard them as throwaway pop, a band who fade into the background after a relatively big hit and debut album (Jet anyone?? Starsailor??) Rather than being annoying however, their sound is one that eats away at preconceptions, nagging at you like an insistent child hanging on your coat tails until one day you hear it and think 'actually that's damn catchy'. OK, so 'Great DJ' wasn't everyone's cup of tea "the drums, the drums, the drums, the drums, the drums..." (ad infinitum), but this single should get everyone's attention in readiness for the duo's album. Rather than being the pop realm's White Stripes, The Ting Tings straddle the line of chart-friendly pop singalong and indie-club dancefloor filler. An enviable position to be in, and one they will more than likely continue to stay in with the release of this bouncy, full-of-attitude track. A perfect summer release!

Prior to forming the group, the pair worked together in 2001 when White was in the all-female punk-pop group TKO and De Martino wrote some songs for them. Later, the pair reunited and with another friend formed...
