Album Review

The Best of Dave Edmunds is a terrific single-disc retrospective picking highlights from Edmunds' best albums, which were all recorded with Rockpile. While Edmunds' tight-assed covers of "Singin' the Blues" and John Fogerty's "Almost Saturday Night" should never have been included, the rest of the album captures the rock revivalist at his best, containing nearly all of his finest moments ("Deborah," "Girls Talk," "I Knew the Bride [When She Used to Rock & Roll]," "Here Comes the Weekend," "Trouble Boys," "Crawling from the Wreckage," "Ju Ju Man," "Queen of Hearts").
