Listen to the music, not the media

When I first heard Down In Albion, I hardly knew who Pete Doherty was - just that he was in the papers a lot, and he was a former member of The Libertines. No way has this 'hype' altered my opinion - the man is a songwriting genius, with or without the press coverage. If anything, it just makes people dislike him immensely. Sure he's a drug addict, but the media love to build up wrongful personas. Take the music for what it is - fine, if you don't like it - just don't get caught up in his infamous character to blur your view. The Blinding EP has a much tighter production than DIA - and each song has a memorable catchy riff or chorus that keeps you humming for hours. All five of these songs would definitely have belonged on a high quality album. I can't really decide on a favourite, but after seeing The Blinding live I've found it has so much energy that you don't necessarily get on the CD. Up the Shambles. Keep going Pete, just don't die on us.

' Beg, Steal or Borrow' to get this!

A truly magnificent EP from babyshambles. Just wish that they released another album instead. For me 'Sedative' is the best as the chorus is very catchy, upbeat and a typical pete doherty song. Buy this EP. It's definately worth the £4

Awesome

I love Babyshambles but it would be even better if the Libertines reformed!!!

Babyshambles released their self-titled debut 7" in April 2004, and settled on the lineup of Doherty, guitarist Patrick Walden, bassist Drew McConnell, and drummer Gemma Clarke by that summer. That fall, things went relatively smoothly for the band, with a sold-out...
