Customer Reviews

Five stars

Most of the itunes reviews sound gushy and sillly, but if this one sounds over the top, it is with all sincerity. Bombay Bicycle beat any other indie upcoming north London bands Suprisingly, the songs The Hill and Open House sound even better when bought (i didn't even download them illegally they're so good) From a teenage girl in London

hope this review helps!

This band is exceptional. They have so much raw talent. I've been hooked on the band for ages now. The true genius, for me, is the way the simple, gritty melodies are complemented by the singer's deep, mature voice- like no one elses around at the moment- and all the more awe-inspiring in light of his age. They seem to have a distinctive talent for hitting you with powerful one-liners which really capture the intensity of youth culture today. 'The Hill' is clearly made for festivals, but the singer's emotional drawl really shines on the less attention-grabbing songs. For example, if you like the EP, it's worth searching out 'Magnet' on myspace. The increadible riff and painfully honest lyrics ('just my luck to find/ someone who makes me want to leave her behind') for me capture the beauty of bombay bicycle club. Alright so no one's heard of them and they are a little rough around the edges musically perhaps, but if they can hold it together I think this band have a great future ahead of them.

Maybe More...?

Superb, great live, and fantastic EP. Some great things should be coming from this band, especially considering their age. Their summery sound on Sixteen and The Hill is great and original and extremely catchy. Open House is also a great tune with a very catchy riff and their new song Cancel on Me is also great. In essence this is a great EP, (the only problem is its too short!!) and with more fab songs like Magnet, What If and How Are You dying for single release ASAP, if not at least an LP/EP appearance, the only thing we can do is wait for the magic to come...
