More AND less...a bargain
This is one of those albums that you either find annoying (for whatever personal reason) or find a connection with. For me it was the latter. Inventive, warm and harking back to the days of analogue electronica it speaks to me of an affection for simple (possibly quirky, nay beguiling) musical motifs and means that do not betray or overcomplicate the human message behind it and doffs a respectful cap in the direction of the often overused Zen maxim that "less is more". Enough words...try it; at this price it might be rude not to.

Eliot Lipp grew up in Tacoma, WA, listening to hip-hop artists such as RZA and Hieroglyphics before moving to San Francisco in 1998 when he turned 18. There, he was influenced by the music of Dan the Automator and Madlib, while also spending time in Chicago, where he was schooled in electronic music.
