Excellent acoustic blues/country/Americana
After the excellent electric blues (and the odd surprise) of Swagger, Ian Siegal produces an honest heart on sleeve acoustic blues album (with the occasional country tinge). He covers Steve Earle's haunting CCKMP only to follow it with his own slab of honesty, I Drink. Ian Siegal has been heralded as one of the finest British Blues artists working today - his live act (particularly in small clubs) is superb, as are his excellent backing band. The new album (which was partly played on the last tour) should bring him the stage and money he deserves, as it has more of a commercial feel - let's see. Role on March 2010 when he next tours in the UK.
