Finally! The Good Stuff is here!
It's been nearly three years in waiting for her to finally get her debut album recorded and released and it's been worth the wait. The Good Stuff is a perfect way to describe this collection of beautifully created songs, a good mix of upbeat and ballad songs, easy listening, heart warming and inspiring. My favourites are still the ones that I first came to know Schuyler by in 2006 (such as Hello and Who Am I To You) and yet her new songs are growing into favourites quickly especially the deeply haunting vocals in Cold Heart. This is just great easy listening music with heart and soul, to raise your spirits. Buy it, you won't be disappointed! And then go see Schuyler live - for that's the best way to experience her music.
Good, but......
Fine debut album, but had "Songs that say goodbye", " Lonely again" and "It's not her" been included for first time listeners, it would have rated 5 stars ! Please don't make us wait another 3 years for thw next studio album
Best acoustic/folk album for a very long time!
This is pure gold! Schuyler Fisk is amazingly talented! Her effortless talent just shines through with both happy feel good tracks to the more evocative and emotive tracks! From where I'm standing is AWESOME! (track featured on film "I'm reed fish") and Fall apart today is just beautiful, much like the track she did with joshua Radin on "the last kiss" soundtrack. tracks like afterglow and miss you offer some feel good girl power! seriuosly go out and buy this, today!
