Album of The Year. Without Doubt.
An instant classic this has the potential to be this year's Fantasy Black Channel. So inventive, wonderfully complex but at a base level just great great tunes. Not only that but they are electrifying live.

Not a False Start...
...but a collection of some rather quirky off kilter sounds thrown together making dis-chordal, abrasive ideas accessible beneath layers of catchy vocal melodies and lush harmonies, with epic choruses (see Soul Owl, Death March, Whole World on it's Head) and complex edgy beats, which are challenging without sounding forced. With perhaps the exception of the bizarre Ghost/Door the track-list works exceptionally well, and it's testament to the band, who have made these ideas work without any unnecessary virtuosity. It's an album that doesn't impose itself as being clever for it's own sake, but sounds better than any idea you've ever had. For anyone who has seen the band this record definitely does them justice, with all the angles and intricate ideas of their contemporaries, but with the big harmonies instead of aggressive vocal delivery, within a couple of listens you'll be hooked. Just buy it!
