Insight into the 20th Century working man
This is a beautiful record of a man's life. It is both musical and historical. Spoken word set against a devastatingly complex soundtrack, that changes with each subject. The words are simple and honest, the voice endearing, the story is an uncomplicated one and therefore close to anyone's heart; anyone who has grown up with family problems, lived through a war, loved, married and been positive through any sorrow or misfortune. Neilson's music, set to Allen's words is an absolute must-listen.
