Beautiful rip off

Does it matter that almost every song on here sounds like you've heard it somewhere before? Not one jot when every song is as good as this selection. This album sounds like it could have been recorded at any point between 1977 and 2006 - but that just makes it all the more appealing. Why won't all those rock snobs out there realise - rock is consolidating. It's all been done before. There's nothing new under the sun. (And The Strokes are a far better band than Television ever were.) So let's just relax and enjoy quality craftsmanship like this for its own sake rather than smirk under the illusion of being cool and radical. Hey. Lighten up. It's pop music! Smile!

A truly originl album

This album is truly fantastic. I bought it after only knowing one song(love me like you) and was not dissapointed.the album has quite upbeat tracks such as love me like you and long legs with more mellow ones such as try and the mule. the magic numbers have a sound which is truly their own and this is a fantastic album. 5 stars.

the 'magic' magic numbers

The Magic Numbers album is as good as their first two singles catching you off guard with an easy rhythm which will be guaranteed to have you sat there with your head bopping in time before you know it. A fresh approach to male\female combo which is individual in genre as it is in its eclectic mix of songs. There's something for (nearly) everyone and these guys are good, really good, but don't listen to me, listen to them.
