Not a bad start...
On hearing the first [free] debut song, I thought "Great, time for some extreme skating!!" - Well maybe not but, it's very reminiscent of 'ye olde' skate tunes, you know the ones (sooo last week lol). No, I found The Motorettes to be very refreshing though a little repetitive, all the songs sound the same - Oops, wait, I've only got the one song [on repeat], I had better get more - AND SO SHOULD YOU, BUY THIS NOW!! (and TURN IT UP!) {= ' ,:, ' }
Other bands take note!
This is how to make good, fun, pop punk without having to be completely naff and pandering to 12-year-olds who, had Smash Hits still existed, would read Smash Hits. They embody the fun and passion of forming a garage band with your mates and just playing and singing whatever comes to mind without considering if it's 'cool' or not, and put on one hell of a live show. I can see why people might not like them, but on the other hand I see no reason why they can't be more famous than they are. The single criticism I would have is that a lot of the songs are very samey, but if it's not broken, don't fix it! Recommended to...most people, really! :)
