Kristeen Young - The Orphans.
This album is sheer brilliance, and is without a doubt the most impressive and important album of the year. The album contains a diverse range of songs with ACTUAL MEANING which is very unusual for a band in this dire time. With this band the modern preconceptions of rock are thrown out of the window. The sound they produce is like no other with its DIY intended method, and its usual unconventional, original and individual soundings. The outstanding songs contain searing, fierce, and masterful pieces passionately and dramatically sung, and played as if knowing its own worth. The singing in it is always heartfelt, sometimes concentrated, soft, and gentle while othertimes Kristeen screechs and wails her words with force. The album has an underlying theme of dark humour and mencace. All these qualities make it superior to anything around today. This album in two words is DRAMATICALLY BEAUTIFUL. - Ben.
Energetic & cool
saw Kristeen Young last year supporting Morrissey, I think She has a uniqe sound, well worth the space on your i-pod. but if i had to pick one song it would be life's not short,it's sooo long. Excellent.
