Great Debut Album!!!
2008 is shaping up as Rep's year. Earlier this year, the city's hip-hop lords Skillmega released their superb album Normal Magic. Now comes the first solo record from Reps, who helped codify the refreshing London/Brighton sound along with Skillmega and Lost Souls in the early Naughties. Rep's personal life is much on his mind: The album title refers to the everyday struggles of trying to live a modest life in London. You can hear the variety that makes this debut stand out. Polish Rapper O.S.T.R. and Brighton Beatmaker Biji Talls lent a production hand, but this is unmistakably a Rep's record, from the super sharp flow of "Get Back", to the playful lyrics of "Out in the Field". A cracking solo effort from a Park Ranger with the potential to go all the way!
