I bought this album on recommendaton of a friend. I didn't really now what to expect but I can confirm that it is superb. I can tell that a great deal of care has been taken when creating these songs but the result is, in many ways, beautifully simple. The lyrics provoke some thought while not tryng to over-power the listener in message.
A first class album for a whole range of listeners. Buy it!
The Unsinkable Boxer
On The Unsinkable Boxers album their trademark sound truly comes to life this band are a breath of fresh air in a world full of sugar coated predictable pop rubbish. This band craft brutally honest, enthralling, exiting and heartbreaking music. Raw emotion is tamed and shaped into perfect songs, which in turn seamlessly combine to create a near-perfect album. Musically and Lyrically, this is arguably the greatest record to come out of Scotland in recent years. To listen to it is to fall in love with it. For The Unsinkable Boxer, great things await.
I cannot praise this highly enough. Buy it, enjoy it and support this sheer brilliance!
