What a great album. It took a couple of listens but the songs really do grow on you. I'm really pleased that they are trying to progress as a group rather than churning out the same old songs every album. They have varied the songs on this album so there is something for everyone. Whether you are a fan or not, there should be something you like on here. Give it a try!!

It's different, but still loving it...

This is really different to the other BSB albums, It's more Dance/R'n'B, which might take some getting used too, considering the last couple of BSB albums have been more Pop/Rock based.
There are some good songs ('Masquerade', 'Bye Bye Love', 'Shattered', 'Bigger'...), some songs that will probably grow on you ('PDA', 'This Is Us', 'Helpless' 'If I Knew Then'...) and the bad song ('She's a Dream' - What were they thinking!?). There is one song missing from the album - 'Fallen Angel', fab song, shame it isn't here.
Not the best album they have made, but not the worst either. They deserve 5 stars for trying something different, not alot of Artist do that.
A good thing about this album is, it is not full of Ballads, so it won't bore you tears!
The Bad thing is, the songs seem a bit over-produced and the guys don't sound as great as they normally do!
The Videos from the O2 are great! Some Classic BSB which made me smile!
Obviously this album is a must have for all BSB fans and maybe some who want to try something different! But I hope they stick to the Pop/Rock songs in future though.

This album deserves to be number 1

This album is Black And Blue part 2. By that I mean it's a grown up version of the Black And Blue album. The Backstreet Boys never fail to come up with good songs. This album shows that. It's not your usual classic BSB album, because alot of the songs on this album are uptempo ballads and not your usual slow BSB ballad. It's something different and that's why I bought it.

Biography

Formed: 1992 in Orlando, FL

Genre: Pop

Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s

The Backstreet Boys were, in many ways, a contradictory band. Comprised entirely of white middle-class Americans, the group sang a hybrid of new jack balladry, hip-hop, R&B, and dance club pop that originally found its greatest success in Canada and Europe, with their 1996 debut album charting in the Top Ten in nearly every country on the Continent. Ironically, success in their native land did not follow until nearly two years later, when teen pop enjoyed a commercial explosion in America. Along...
