iTunes Review
Timbaland’s star making productions for the likes of R&B artists like Aaliyah, Justin Timberlake, and Ginuwine have done much to define the sound of popular music over the past decade. Though contemporaries like The Neptunes and Lil Jon rival him in popularity, few producers have been able to blend hardcore dance floor appeal and challenging experimentalism with the skill and avidity of Timbaland. 2006 was something of a banner year for him, and the colossal success of Timberlake’s SexyBack and Nelly Furtado’s Loose raised anticipation for Shock Value to a fever pitch. Though some critics have expressed disappointment with Shock Value’s overwhelming eclecticism, foolhardy ambition has always been one of Timbaland’s saving graces. Who but Timbaland could conceive of the twisted Medtronic meet Miami Bass stomp of “Bounce” or the exhilarating, if possibly sacrilegious, take on Nina Simone’s “Sinnerman” that is “Oh Timbaland”? If Shock Value suffers from some poor decision making (see Fall Out Boy’s cringe inducing contribution to One and Only) the album contains more than enough redeeming moments to make it a worthy entry into Timbaland’s catalogue.

It's Only Fair...
That after producing great instrumentals for well known artists today like Justine Timberlake and Nelly that he keeps the best instrumentals to himself and that my readers is what Timbaland has done here... Timberlake and Timbaland... i now see how thses two work so well together. This album has the collaboration of so many Artists, such as Dr. Dre, Missy Elliot, Keri Hilson (still Loving her voice), Sebastian, D.O.E, Justine Timberlake (of course), attitude, Amar, Tony Yayo, 50 Cent (hate this guy), magoo (of course), Money, Nicole Scherzinger, Jim Beans, The Hives, She Wants Revenge, Fall Out Boy, One Republic (Great Band)and Elton John. The Idea is too shock you and to tell you all that you are getting in this Album... and this is obviously very special people. would have loved a collaboration with eminem, but as we can see there are too many of them already and how they will share in the success of this album is beyond me, buti guess it helps some Artists who arent well known Today like One Republic (First time hearing from them thanks to Timbaland). Overall... I can't stress it anymore... We've seen this man in alot of videos, surely his got all that it takes and this album deserves a 5 star since it has no bad track at all for something with a mixture of different genres, WOW... Just WOW. so try it out people... Its worth your every Dollar to Americans and Pounds to British. Your Selections Depending on Your Genre of Music Track 1 - Hip-Hop Rap Track 2 - RnB/Rap Track 3 - Hip-Hop/Rap Track 4 - Dance/RnB/Rap Track 5 - Hip-Hop Rap Track 6 - Hip-Hop Rap Track 7 - Hip-Hop Rap Track 8 - Hip-Hop Rap Track 9 - RnB/Rap Track 10 - Hip-Hop/RnB Track 11 - Hip-Hop/RnB (Great Song... sorry had to say that) Track 12 - Hindi/Hip-Hop/Rap Track 13 - Rock & Roll/Rap Track 14 - Rock/Rap Track 15 - Rock/Rap (Great Song... also had to say that... Fall out Boy was spectacular) Track 16 - Slow Rock (Pretty Much Just Old Republic... No Rapping on this... Awesome Song) Track 17 - Blues/RnB (Feat Elton John... but does not have Elton John singing on it... only playing the Piano) Conclusions.... Worth Purchasing all of them... but pick the ones you think you will like...
Can he get any better?
Timbaland excels with every new studio album that he produces. He knows what people want to hear, not just regurgitated beats with rappers saying how they want to pimp every girl from here to Bangkok. We've got a massive variety here with artists like Elton John, Fallout Boy and Nicole Sherzinger - can you get more variety than this? Timbo also seems to have brought vocalists such as Keri Hilson and Sebastian into the spotlight, people who I've been hearing more and more about since they got into Timbo's studio. I have quite a few favourites that are stuck on repeat from this album. In order of popularity with myself: Scream, The Way I Are, 2 Man Show, Give It To Me, Release, One and Only, Miscommunication, Kill Yourself and Apologize... I think I've just listed half of the album! He's just that good! Definately gets 5 stars from me.
Brilliant!!!!
Got the album on 28/3 and have been listening to it on repeat all the time there are some great colaborations on the album my favourites are Release, Way I Are, Come & Get Me, Boardmeeting, Time, One & Only, Apologize (most really) any of these could be made into a single. One dissapointment was 2 Man Show Ft. Elton John as he only plays the piano and does not sing any of the lyrics apart from that the rest are v.good. Highly recomended :)
