Oh So Good!

Finally, it arrives. This album is pure quality, easily best album of 2009 so far. None of that lady gaga kinda sh!t on here. In my opinion 'To Loose My Life' is the best song on the album, closely followed by 'Death'. slightly annoyed there's only ten songs on the album but better to have 10 absolute tunes than fourteen average tracks. 'White Lies' are the perfect band to listen to at this time of the year, they fit in perfectly with the winter weather. Perfect for joy division fans, they have that same downbeat style. Everyone needs this album in their life so buy it now. For those who dont rele wanna download the whole album but just want a few tracks get: To Loose My Life Death Farewell To The Playground The Price Of Love This album is lyrically genius, and so so deep. If i had to say any word this album reminds me of it would be 'Hope'. Buy It!!!

True new talent, 80s style

This genuinely is one of the best albums I've purchased over the past 12 months, there ain't a bad song on it. I really hope these guys do well, they deserve to. Amongst all this pop-idol mass produced rubbish that were subjected to it's a relief to hear a genuinely talented act breaking through.

The Revival...

...of post-punk revival. This band are kinda like a cross between Joy Division, Bloc Party and the Editors. This album is amazing. The title track's the obvious standout, but the rest of them are pretty good for a band who've just taken their second gap year. If you like any kind of alternative rock, buy this (of course, listen first - I don't wanna be held responsible if you spend £7.99 and then don't like it).

Years Active: '00s, '10s

A dark-edged trio hailing from London, White Lies take sonic cues from the likes of Joy Division, the Teardrop Explodes, and Echo & the Bunnymen. Indeed, the three musicians are so committed to the U.K.'s post-punk scene that they signed with Fiction Records, a Polydor imprint best known for its '80s releases by the Cure and the Associates. While attending school in West London, singer/guitarist Harry McVeigh, bassist/lyricist Charles Cave, and drummer/keyboardist Jack Lawrence-Brown formed the...
