Technical brilliance, excitement, fear. Each track a work in several movements. Beautiful melodic 'Blossom into the void' sandwiched between serious face melting metal masterpieces. The two live tracks recorded at Bloodstock are proof that this band are as good on stage as they are in the studio. Surely this first offering will become a classic!

Betraeus have managed to create something that's unique. They completely stand out from the crowd and this EP proves it. Their ability to intertwine face-melting, head-smashing metal with ambient, ethereal vocals and acoustic guitar is truly fantastic. Towards The Sun is an almost 10 minute long epic, with so many twists and turns, it keeps even the most hardened metalhead on their toes! The technical interweavings of melodies and different timings just blend seamlessly. The two lives tracks show the pure brutal force of Betraeus and shows that they're not just a studio band! All in all, this is definitely one of the EPs of the year and you should definitely own it! Pure talent, creativity and determination.
