what a star!
Just read the glowing review of this album in Bass Guitar Magazine, and what can i saw but WOW, this girl is amazing. You can tell she's been listening to the likes of Marcus Miller and of course Jaco, but the way she fits her bass in with the funky jazz rhythms of the quality other musicians is quite masterful. My faves are Serendipity and Truth be Told
Debut Of The Decade
WOW! This chick is something else! To show this much maturity both as a player and composer/arranger is astounding, especially when you realise that Tal was only 20 when she recorded this - she truly is a prodigy... I think I'm in love!! And to have the likes of Wayne Krantz and Keith Carlock on board... Well, it just raises what would have been a great record regardless into the realms of funk perfection. Awesome awesome record that unlike many bass albums, is not dominated by bass solos - this is truly a great group effort. More please Tal!
