Album Review
Composer Angelo Badalamenti, who wrote the music for the television series for which this movie served as a "prequel," presents another low-key score mixing after-midnight jazz with ambient sounds, never taken at more than a medium tempo. The mood is dark and languid, appropriate to the unusual tone of the TV show and movie. Jimmy Scott and Julee Cruise contribute eerie vocals to songs with lyrics by director David Lynch.

Black as a moonless night...
Like the film, this is a darker more disturbing visit to the sleepy world of Twin Peaks. There are nods to the TV score (primarily 'Montage From Twin Preaks'), but unlike that soundtrack there's less sunlight here, it's a deeper melancholy night time atmosphere from beginning to end. Through the creepy and offbeat ('The Black Dog Runs At Night', 'A Real Indication') and the thunderous ('The Pink Room') to the heartbreakingly beautiful ('Questions In A World Of Blue', 'Voice Of Love') this is a vital must have for those whose hearts never really left this little town...
