Born Tea Marika Hiilloste in 1982 in Lahti, Finland, pop vocalist Tea first came to public notice as part of a band that made a name for itself on the Finnish television reality talent show Popstars. The band, called Jane, broke up in 2007, and Tea then embarked on a solo career. Her first single, "Tytöt Tykkää," was released on EMI, which signed her soon after the breakup of Jane.
