iTunes Review
The band doesn’t consider it a “greatest hits” album, but rather a collection of their most beloved songs from its 15 years and running career. Considering Glasgow, Scotland’s Snow Patrol are every bit an album band, despite its many UK hit singles (“Run” and “Chasing Cars” presented here in both studio and live versions), Up to Now flows like a long, deeply atmospheric piece far more intimate than most bands who sell 10 million records. Three new tracks, including the single “Just Say Yes” add to the special enticement for fans. But mostly this compilation cherry picks the highlights from the band’s five studio albums and various EPs. “Chocolate” retains its My Bloody Valentine haze. “You’re All I Have” bleeds the stereo speakers with anthemic grandeur. “Set the Fire to the Third Bar” settles at the piano. “Take Back the City” strips the band to its pop-rock roots. Unlikely heroes at the start, Snow Patrol have blossomed into an arena rock band that enhances the arena.

Great compilation album!!!
The tracklist is very good but there should have definitely been more songs from band's first album 'Songs for Polarbears'. It's awesome it's a collection of the band's best loved songs, not a greatest hits album, as we can find lots of less commercially popular material on it along with 3 previously unreleased tracks. The compilation also features 2 songs from a side-project - The Reindeer Section.
Brillant
The tracks on this album are truly an awesome collection of material from snow patrol and if you are truly a pic and mix itunes user then make this an exception. The value for the whole album is just brillant for the quality of music you get.
Sheer brilliance
This is a fantastic "best of" album. Like so many people, I didn't really get into Snow Patrol until Run, but the earlier material sits well amongst the newer tracks. Worth the tenner just for the haunting "Dark Roman Wine". This track really sends shivers down my spine, something that no song has done for a long time.
