Finally!
I saw the first single from Veden varaan, "Lautturi", when I was in Finland. I thought it was beautiful when I first heard it and wanted to get the album, but it was relatively expensive compared to the price it is here.
Unfortunately, it's taken quite some time for iTunes to bring it out over here - not that I suppose there's been much call for it in England.
The album is beautiful and I recommend it to anyone who has listened to their previous albums. PMMP do what they do well.
Worth a listen.
Fusions2
Veden Varaan is what I can only describe as a surprise album from PMMP. Its a lot more toned down now both Paula and Mira have matured musically. It still retains that typical and fun loving PMMP style in songs like Kuvia and Viimeinen valitusvirsi. Whilst they explore new sounds in songs such as Pariterapiaa and Tulva. The last song on the album Se vaikenee joka pelkaa is well over 8 minutes long and sounds like a mini epic film within itself. The theme of this album is based around water, over all this is one album any PMMP Finnish or not will love.
