The Very Best of Michael Jackson with the Jackson 5 is the U.K. version of the 1995-released The Ultimate Collection. The selections here are similar to those on the U.S. set, including J5 no-brainers like “I Want You Back,” “ABC,” “I’ll Be There,” “Never Can Say Goodbye.” Then, for the last quarter of program, it features a handful of solo Michael cuts — such as “Ben,” “Doctor My Eyes,” and “Ain’t No Sunshine.”

The 1st Era

If you want a taster of all Michael's early stuff that started the legend roling, this is the album for you. The highlights are obviously the first 4 songs, but Michael's solo songs are noteworthy, especially Ben. Buy it!

Early Beginnings of a Superstar

Back to the 1970's and my earliest memories of Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5, the music brought to life in glorious technicolour through a cartoon series featuring the group. This was Michael Jackson the Child Superstar with a beautifully pure voice and dance moves to rival Little Richard or James Brown, the talent was there for the whole world to see. Now that he has gone I have found myself going back to those early days to remind me just how talented he was from such an early age, the music included in this compilation is mainly the fast paced Soul Music associated with the Jackson 5 with the occasional ballad that really showcases Michael's raw vocal talent. This is the way I will always remember Michael Jackson happy, untainted and singing with his family, before the pressures of fame finally destroyed the man. To Michael Jackson, Thank You for your musical legacy, you will live on in the hearts of all your fans for many generations to come.

Wonderful album amongst all the others too, wonderful talent from the beginning to end, God bless M.J and all the family he will be sadly missed but he shall live on in our hearts, especially with this album track 20 farewell Michaelxx
