Classic Dark, Ambient Atmospheres
Brennan's textures and atmospheres are simply beautiful. This album has a depth that, in my opinion, is second to none. His washes have the same serious feel as Thomas Koners pieces but the overall effect is more inviting. For me, 'Vibrant Water' is as good as my all time favourite 'ambient' album, Sylvian and Csukays 'Plight & Premonition', which I have played to death since its release in 1988. I absolutely recommend everyone to buy it. I'll be purchasing many of his other works over the next few weeks.

The gentle, ambient, nature-influenced music of Thom Brennan had an early showcase in 1987 with his release, Mountains, a collaboration with Steve Roach that evoked memories of his childhood on an island in the East China Sea.
