Beautiful, Original

Just bought today, played three times already and am loving it. Trellick Tower really sends shivers down your spine; Paper Forest is the track most like the first album and is beautiful. There is more production on this album, it's not so stripped-back as the first but it is a logical and natural progression - so many artists's second albums are full of production 'enhancements' that ruin the original sound where this one seems just right.

As ever, lyrics and structure are original, exciting, and poignant in equal measure and Emmy's crystal-clear voice is even better here than on her first album.

This is a quality album from a unique talent, and I am really looking forward to hearing these songs live in September in Norwich.

Virtue- album of the year

I didn't think Emmy the Great could possibly produce anything as good as
'First Love' but she has managed to produce something even more fantastic with 'Virtue' than I could have ever imagined. Longly anticipated, but well worth the wait, the album is quite simply beautiful.

Emmy IS Great

This album is - how can I put this? - just lovely.

Well done, Emmy; you've avoided the common pitfall of becoming crap on your second album.

More soon, please.
