Electro greatness
Saw these guys in Birmingham a week ago and thought they were great. I recomend this to anyone thet enjoys driving electro pop music. "The Past Is Just That" being my particular fave at the moment!!
I'm gonna write a classic
An obscure reference to an Adrian Gurvitz song I know, and this music bears no resemblance to his song about writing a classic in an attic. Certainly Barry's Attic would never try and crowbar words in needlessly to make a rhyme. Quite the opposite. 'Voices All Clear Now' is clearly a great pop record, but it is sharp and it is dangerous; it does not attempt to fit in with this week's favourite, it is too honest to itself. Songs bursting with passion, lyrics that are well thought out, and interesting arrangements. Barry's Attic are just too good to hide up in a dusty loft any longer. Open the hatch and let down the ladders, elementary recordings have done it again: they open the ears of the world and direct them to the Black country. Excellent stuff.
