Classic tune
A real classic early acid house tune. I couldn’t rate it anything less than 5 stars
Essential rarity.
OMG! This is a rarity indeed - only 5,000 pressed back in 1988 (and I own one of 'em.) This is the original release of 'Voodoo Ray' and, in my humble opinion, also the best mix. The other three tracks are classic early UK acid and have a sparse elegance to them that makes them quite unlike anything else.
Pioneering Sounds...
The early stuff always seems to be the best, with Voodoo Ray certainly defining the progressive sound of the time. Interestingly, Gerald was part of an early 808 State ensemble and contributed to the eternal classic, Pacific State.
