Brilliant!

One of the best albums of 2010. Really Eclectic. Each track is really different and all types of music seem to be catered for; Elements of House,Rock,Soul,Motown,Electronica. Well worth every penny.

Brace position - this 'plane's going down

Being a big fan of Aeroplane and all their remixes, I was really looking forward to this. It's such a shame that it is such a din; infuriating eighties-style big-hair guitars, screeching vocals and seemingly random tinkling and pan-bashing combined with some pretty slapdash mixing delivers an album which disappoints on pretty much every level if you are familiar with previous Aeroplane stuff.

A real shame - they've obviously tried to embrace some different musical influences but they should have stuck to what they know and the results could have been so much more rewarding. What they've delivered seems way too rushed (despite the release date being pushed back several times) and deeply flawed. I guess they knew that too which is why they've split up. A real shame.

The 70s and 80s in 50 minutes

Whether this was meant as a parody for the 70s or 80s or Aeroplane are actually paying tribute to their influences, it makes no difference, the album is one of the best for 2010!
The album kicks off with the necessary 70s grandiose of Mountains of Moscow, a tune that will bring back memories of various cult 70s movies. The remaining 48 minutes, are a mix of Motown (We can't fly, Caramellas), Anthemic Rock (Superstar, Fish In the Sky, My Enemy - should the soundtrack to the next Rocky movie), Pink Floyd (London Bridge, A Point of No Return), Camp Pop (I Don't Feel) and Country (Good Riddance) influences, arranged in a way that give the sense of repetition, a distinctive element of the 70s and early 80s music.

Aeroplane is a Belgian electronica act with a cosmic disco style that made its full-length album debut with We Can't Fly in 2010. Founded in 2007 in Brussels, Aeroplane began as a duo comprised of Stephen Fasano and Vito Deluca, the latter of whom was born in Belgium to Italian parents. Influenced by both the disco and soundtrack work of Giorgio Moroder, the duo made its recording debut with the "Aeroplane" single in 2007 on Eskimo Records, followed by the "Pacific Air Race" single later in the year....
