Album Review
The debut album from Soul Parade showcased the Louisville rock band's growth since evolving from their cover-band beginnings as the Supernauts and the Release. Soul Parade integrates a wide variety of influences into their unique style of rock, some of those influences including blues-rock (Led Zeppelin), progressive rock (Rush), jazz-rock (Steely Dan), hard rock (Van Halen), pop/rock (Journey), and alt-rock (Pearl Jam). Somehow, Soul Parade manages to integrate all of these influences into What's on My Mind, surely a testament of the band's aptitude.
