When Black Fuels Blood
The exciting, fresh debut from City Of Ashes includes vast styles ranging from the intense and heavy Between A Rock And Her Razor, to the melodic, catchy Butterflies and Barflies. The Art Of Opacity introduces the listener to the band's determination to push themselves as far as possible musically. In my opinion, the quality of the EP is epitomised in the outstanding track In The Cold Light Of Day, while the opening track.
The album definately has something on for every type of music fan and is well worth a listen, you'd be mad not to give it a listen!

For a debut record it exceeds your initial expectations and plays with your ears. You should keep this band in your future roster of bands you listen to, can't wait to hear new stuff. I think my favorite track is Between a Rock & Her Razor.
Cracking EP!
I've had the pleasure of seeing these boys on many occasions, brilliant buy for any fans of Alexisonfire. The opening track 'The Art of Opacity' is without doubt my favourite. From the seering guitar, and thumping drums in the intro, to the fantastic melodic and screaming vocals throughout. Great EP on the whole, greatly recommend!
