iTunes Review

One need not subscribe to subcultural accessories to let this album work its magic — though the energy of a youthful mind and the passion of an adolescent heart are more likely to get singer Tyson Ritter's dire lyrics of vernal longings and lovelorn sagas. In production, the album doesn't stray far from 2005's Move Along. Maroon 5 producer Eric Valentine gives these songs a polished sound, glossing each track for radio saturation and video game placement. But there are also some fresh new goodies that have been brought to the party — like a lush string ensemble and an all-female choir. Also, folk band the Pierces drop in for a guest appearance on "Another Heart Calls", making for a dramatic song with an endearing call-and-response duet. "Gives You Hell" is a powerful standout that pumps funk-based beats, barbed melodies and what sounds like a locker room of football players chanting the chorus. The album's opener "I Wanna" is impossible to walk away from without humming the hook.

Great return

I have been waiting for a new AAR album for a while now, and have been hoping it would live up to the stardards set by move along and I am happy to say that they have rose above and wrote a fantastic new album Pick of the album for me would be "Another heart Calls", which is in my opinion the best duet since "Set the Fire to the Third Bar". Don't get put off Sunshine just because it is a hidden track, this is one of the best songs on the album and it is in similar style to "I Can't take it" from Move Along Heres my ratings for each song I Wanna - 9/10 Fallin Apart - 8/10 Damn Girl - 9/10 Gives you Hell 10/10 Mona Lisa - 8/10 Breakin - 9/10 Another Heart Calls - 10/10 Real World - 8/10 Back to Me - 9/10 Believe - 7/10 The Wind Blows - 8/10 Sunshine - 10/10 Download it!

Quite literally, amazing!

I've been a fan since 2002 and have been counting down the days till this release! Now, I've been listening to it on repeat and it is stuffed full of gems.... Breakin', Gives You Hell, Back to Me, and Damn Girl are all instant classics. An all-round fantastic album, I just can't get get enough! This record is going to catapult AAR into a house-hold name, so stay ahead of the game, get this now!

OHMAGAWD.

All-American rejects are back. This is arguably better than Move Along! The whole album is great and got listened to 15 times by myself. Gives You Hell is an awesome single, and Mona Lisa was a great choice for substitute. If you liked Move Along (and the 2002 self titled album) you'll love this! ;D

Formed: 2000 in Stillwater, OK

Genre: Alternative

Years Active: '00s, '10s

Vocalist/bassist Tyson Ritter and guitarist Nick Wheeler both hail from Stillwater, OK, where the pair first embraced music as an appealing diversion from the ho-hum life of small-town America. Citing such influences as AC/DC, Def Leppard, and Bon Jovi, they formed the emo-pop group All-American Rejects in 2000, while both members were still in high school. Maintaining a full lineup proved to be difficult, however, so Ritter and Wheeler employed drum loops and pre-programmed rhythm tracks during...
