Back to their Best!!

Westlife have come back stronger than ever with this album. There are typical Westlife-sounding ballad tracks as well as the ones that show the new direction they're headed towards. This album has everything you could want from Westlife, with great vocals from all four of them but particularly from Shane and Mark. If their first single, What About Now, was anything to go by, then this album and any singles they take from it, should be a huge hit especially with their loyal fans like me.
My favourite tracks from this album, despite it only being released an hour ago, have to be "Shadows, No More Heroes, The Difference and Where We Are"...but honestly every single track on this album (all, but What About Now, are orginal songs) is amazing, and it just goes to show just how talented these four guys really are and why, after 11 years, they still remain the best boyband (turned man-band)/pop-band around today.
Whether you are an eternally loyal Westlife fan or not, this album is a must-buy! Filled with hits and great tracks, its one to keep in your collection!! And Shane, Nicky, Mark and Kian, I have to give it to you...you guys truly are amazing - the best in the business!

Wow

Love this album, a new slightly more modern sound but with the clasic westlife ballads still intact.

A must buy :)

Westlife: Where We Are

After their last couple of albums, even the most loyal fans (including myself) were beginning to get a little tired of the same cycle of music that Westlife were producing. Covers, covers, covers. Although brilliantly sung, we'd heard them all before. I'm not ashamed to say that I was expecting the same story with this album.

Boy, was I wrong.

These 20-odd second snippets are completely misleading. I purchased the album from HMV.com and recieved my copy two days before it's general release -- and it is astonishing. I am saying this as a music-lover and not a Westlife fan; this is their best album since Coast to Coast. It's a mature mix of ballads and uplifting tunes that really give you butterflies as you listen to the lyrics, background music and deep vocals of the lads.

And better yet... only ONE cover song. Which, in my opinion, is far from the best song on this album. I won't list my favourites, but I will urge you to buy this before making any concrete judgements -- they're not called the world's biggest boyband for nothing, and they've pulled their socks up and given their fans (and critics) something they've been craving: a fantastic batch of songs.

Formed in Dublin in 1998, Westlife followed in the tradition of European boy bands like Take That and Boyzone. The group performed ballads and club-worthy pop songs for a devoted European audience, becoming one of the continent's most successful bands in the process. Although they never managed to find American success, Westlife released six platinum-selling records in the U.K. and eventually sold more than 40 million albums worldwide,...
