Not what I was expecting - exceptional stuff

If, like me, you're thoroughly irritated by the current influx of quirky female singer/songwriters a la Lilly Allen, Regina Spektor et all singing songs about bugger-all whilst acting cute-as-a-button - you'll be pleasantly surprised by this refreshing, engaging album. There's very much a 90's alternative vibe running through rockier tracks such as Sidekick and So Jealous which lift this album above the current crowd. Fresh songwriting with an edge - and a young female artist doing her own thing. Lovely :-)

Stunning

I have been listening to this record all day and it's quite simply sublime. Lisa Mitchell is an outstanding artist and this is an exceptional album. Beautiful.
