.When Pet Shop Boys and Tears For Fears collide
Tune of the summer of 2010
You will hardly find a better electropop band this year (or last year or two years ago...). Hurts have recrafted synthpop for a whole new generation and infused melody and pathos in a genre that you could swear had nothing new to offer. And the remixes (especially the Artur Baker and the Freemasons ones) are stunning too.
So good it hurts.
At last
Marvellous, not only is it a bargain but you get the Arthur baker remix which is ace and the Freemasons mixes which are sublime. Kudos to all concerned. Not long now for the album
Track Of The Year
Been waiting a long time for this release and has been well worth the wait & a bargin on the iTunes iPhone App at £1.79.
These guys from Manchester are the best newcomers I've heard in many years and the sound kinda takes me back to my teenage years way back in the 80's. Definately has a Tears For Fears & Pet Shop Boys feel.
Even better, the Freemasons (the best dance act EVER!) remixes are just flawless.
Highly recommended.
Looking forward to the debut album release of 'Happiness' on 6th Sept and hoping to get a signed copy at the launch in Manchester...
