Wonderlustre

Skunk Anansie have delivered yet another amazing album, and the best news is that they are back to their best. I have only listened to the album a couple of times so far, but it is a stunner and some of their best work since Paranoid and Sunburnt and Stoosh. Best songs on the album are It Doesn't Matter, My Ugly Boy, God Only Loves You, Feeling The Itch, The Sweetest Thing and Would You?. This is definitely one of the best albums of the year!

God Only Loves You - 10/10
My Ugly Boy - 8/10
Over The Love - 9/10
Talk Too Much - 7/10
The Sweetest Thing - 9/10
It Doesn't Matter - 10/10
You're Too Expensive for Me - 8/10
My Love Will Fail - 9/10
You Saved Me - 9/10
Felling The Itch - 10/10
You Can't Always Do What You Like - 8/10
I Will Stay But You Should Leave - 7/10
Would You? - 9/10

Awesome return

I was a casual fan in the 90s and thanks to my partner, who loves them, I've enjoyed following their 'comeback'. After seeing them live last year at the Wedgewood Rooms I was intrigued by the possibilities of a new album. It doesn't disappoint. Not as hard as some of their previous output and surprisingly commercial, it's a solidly great rock album and one if the best if the year. Fans shouldn't be disappointed. Big thumbs up!

The Skunk is Greener!!!!

Brilliant new album... Brilliant band... And Great to have them back!!! :)

Biography

Formed: 1994 in London, England

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s

British alternative quartet Skunk Anansie played what their lead singer, Skin, called c**t-rock — an amalgam of heavy metal and black feminist rage. Skin began singing in high school for a classmate's band after considering the offer for over a year. Six years after that band broke up, the members of Skunk Anansie (including bass player Cass, guitarist Ace, and drummer Robbie France, who was replaced by Mark Richardson on 1995) met one another by chance....
