Two Absolutely Classic Albums...

This is a bargain. These first two Boston albums, never surpassed in my opinion, are just superb slices of late 70s AOR. The first album with it's classic moments like "More Than A Feeling" and "Foreplay/Long Time" are worth the entrance fee alone.

Everyone has raved about the debut for years but, oddly enough, it's "Don't Look Back" that appeals to me more. The title track is just a song of epic proportions (along with "A Man I'll Never Be" of course), but it's little vignettes like the bouncy rock of "Party" and the mournful, autumnal lament "Used To Bad News" that really glue the whole thing together.

Yes, it isn't as full of instant classics as the first release but, to these ears at least, it seems like a more cohesive effort (even though Tom Scholz would, and has, vehemently disagreed, calling it "rushed.").

But, whatever way you cut it, these are two of the best releases of the AOR genre ever, and simply not be missed at this price. Fantastic stuff. BUY!!
