Anti-MCR!!!!
I had only just heard of leathermouth at the end of last year, and i had never heard anything like this for awhile. Frank Iero proves to everyone that hes more than just gerard ways background guy. He takes the mic and destroys everything in his path. Heres hoping that people see him as the person he is. Rock ON!!!!
OMG!
i checked out this band for two reasons: 1) I read about in Rock Sound (issue 118) 2) Out of curiosity because Frank Iero is in MCR (a band which i see to be fairly average) I listened to the whole album on their Myspace page and to be honest, it blew me away! The fury and speed of the whole damn thing is incredible, even if i can't tell what he's singing half the time (due to most of it been fairly inaudible screaming- but of the good kind =]) All in all it is a great album - not too sure it would be MCR fans cup of tea but i can't see why they would hate it. If i come back on here and see anyone has wrote something like 'omg, what has happened to Frank Iero, its nothing like my chem' then be prepared to argue, just because the band has him in it doesn't mean it should sound like 'em, that is generally the whole point of 'side-projects'. Anyway, three best songs are: 1) Murder Was The Case They Gave Me 2) Sunsets Are For Muggings 3) Bodysnatchers 4 Ever (What's A Pulse Got Ta Do With It?) XO

I first started listening to Leathermouth because i am a MASSIVE MCR fan, and when i read about Franks new band i thought i would give 'em a listen and i definitely didn't regret it!!! its completely and utterly different to MCR but in a good way, however MCR fans, be prepared to dislike it if you're expecting something remotely similar to MCR. My top three songs have got to be 1) Sunsets Are for Muggings 2) Murder Was The Case That They Gave Me and 3) I Am Going To Kill the President of the United States of America. Listen to it with an open mind and you will (fingers crossed) love it!!
